Knile Davis delivered 21 yards on seven carries and snared 1-of-2 targets for nine yards Saturday in the Steelers’ preseason game against the Colts.
Davis was thought to be on the roster bubble but instead drew the start ahead of both James Conner and Fitzgerald Toussaint in Saturday’s dress rehearsal. He didn't show much, averaging a mere three yards per carry with a long of 11 yards. We’re not sure what to make of Pittsburgh’s backfield depth, though it won’t matter much with Le’Veon Bell playing a near every-down role.
