Arian Foster announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons.
"There comes a time in every athlete's career when their ambition and their body are no longer on the same page," Foster wrote in a statement. "My father always said, 'You'll know when it's time to walk away.' It has never been more clear than right now." Foster turned 30 back in August and has battled multiple injuries over the past two years, including hamstring and groin issues this season. Foster returned from a three-week absence in Week 6, but quickly tumbled to No. 3 on the depth chart behind new workhorse Jay Ajayi and No. 2 Damien Williams. Foster amassed 6,527 rushing yards and 2,346 as a receiver, scoring 88 total touchdowns. For a five-year stretch with the Texans from 2010-2014, Foster was one of the elite fantasy performers.

Arian Foster (hamstring) is active for Week 7 against the Bills.
Foster should be a lot healthier than he was last Sunday, but the Dolphins have announced Jay Ajayi as the starter at running back. Foster probably won't see more than 6-8 touches, making him a low-end RB3.

Arian Foster (hamstring) is questionable for Week 7 against the Bills.
He's practiced fully this week and is obviously in no danger of sitting out Sunday's game against Buffalo. Foster is nearing 100 percent, but his role in the Dolphins' running game is still up in the air. Last week he was out-touched 26-5 by second-year back Jay Ajayi. Until Foster shows signs of life, he won't be worth using in fantasy.
