Impending free agent Tom Savage has already lost 17 pounds this offseason.
Savage is working out at D1 Sports in Clearwater in preparation for free agency. He was listed at 230 by the Texans, but Savage looked heavier than that in recent seasons and moved in the pocket with sloth-like slowness and took an unbelievable amount of sacks. Savage will hunt for backup work.

Texans placed QB Tom Savage (concussion) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Nick Martin and MyCole Pruitt will join him on I.R. This was the expected outcome for Savage, who suffered a concussion against the Niners in Week 14. T.J. Yates will finish out the year at quarterback for Houston. There's a strong likelihood that Savage, who is headed for free agency this offseason, has played his final game as a Texan.
