Russell Wilson completed 18-of-29 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks' 26-24, Week 17 loss to the Cardinals.
Wilson added five rushes for 36 yards. As was the case far too often this season, Wilson and the entire offense were nearly nonexistent behind the Seahawks' abominable offensive line for most of the first half. Things, as usual, picked up after the break, but it was too late in a must-win game. After playing hurt for nearly all of 2016, Wilson kept himself in the 2017 MVP conversation with Houdini-like play behind his awful blocking, but the bottom fell out too often for Wilson to be a true contender for the hardware. The 'Hawks have to get Wilson more help for 2018. Stunningly, Wilson will turn 30 next November.

Russell Wilson completed 14-of-21 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns while adding 30 yards on eight carries Sunday in the Seahawks’ Week 16 win over the Cowboys.
He took three sacks for a loss of 33 yards. Wilson obviously didn’t stuff the stat sheet on Sunday, but he did enough to keep Seattle’s dim playoff hopes alive. He got Seattle on the scoreboard with a three-yard touchdown to Jimmy Graham late in the first half and hit pay-dirt again by slinging a six-yard score to Doug Baldwin early in the fourth quarter. Wilson had been nipping at Tom Brady’s heels in the MVP race (Todd Gurley might be the frontrunner now) but has slowed down by throwing for a combined 235 yards over his last two games. The 9-6 Seahawks wrap up the regular season with a must-win game against the Cardinals on New Year’s Eve.
