NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports Christian Hackenberg has been working with quarterback guru Jeff Christensen, and that the duo has "had to start from scratch on (Hackenberg's) throwing motion."
Per Garofolo, Christensen has worked with Jimmy Garoppolo, Kirk Cousins and Ryan Tannehill, amongst others. He will apparently conduct "over 60 sessions" with Hack this offseason. The Jets opted to keep Hack over Bryce Petty even though Hack has never looked close to better on the preseason or practice field. Only Hack's second-round pedigree has kept him on the roster this long. It's ultimately unlikely to be enough to save his 53-man roster spot.

Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine, Jets coach Todd Bowles was noncommittal on the team's plans for Christian Hackenberg.
"We’ll see what his role is going forward," said Bowles. "He’s got to correct a lot of things, obviously." Hackenberg is entering his third NFL season but has yet to see the field and ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini concedes it's "probably time to move on." The Jets will likely address quarterback in free agency—Kirk Cousins is reportedly their top target—and may also add a backup in the upcoming draft. That could leave Hackenberg and Bryce Petty both looking for new teams.
